Entry Requirements
ACCA Course Entry Requirements
There are several routes into ACCA study, as well as a number of potential exemptions for students with particular academic backgrounds. Listed below is all the information you need about the entry requirements to the ACCA course at LSBF Manchester.
Professional Examination Route:
In order to be eligible to register for the ACCA accounting qualification (at the Knowledge Level) you need to have at least two A Levels and three GCSEs (including English and Mathematics).
Please note: Students with higher qualifications may be eligible for exemptions from some of the ACCA examinations. See below for details.
Mature Student Entry Route:
Students who do not hold the minimum entry ACCA qualifications, but who are aged 21 years or older, may be eligible for the mature student entry route. This route allows students to enter the programme under the condition they pass the Knowledge Level papers F2 & F3 within two years. Please note that students are granted a maximum of four consecutive attempts to pass these ACCA papers.
ACCA Exemptions for Degree Holders:
Students who hold recognised business and/or accounting degrees may be considered for exemption from some (or all) of the Knowledge and Skill Levels. In order to do this they must be able to provide evidence that they have previously studied and been assessed in comparable subject areas.
Please note that students with non-relevant degrees will not be eligible for exemption from the above mentioned ACCA examination levels. If you’re unsure of your suitable starting point, please check with ACCA for more details.
Exemption Application Deadlines:
By 31 July – for December exams
By 31 December – for June exams
